Good times

I think I am safe by saying that everyone had an enjoyable time at the reunion! Can you believe that 42 members of our class attended? We were thrilled by the turn out and honestly believe that the people that didn't attend truly missed out. The tour went well and the social time was filled with smiles and laughter. For something that could have been extremely awkward I never got that vibe and hope no one else did. Ok, maybe the significant others felt out of place but I guess that is to be expected, however I saw people opening up conversations with them as well. It was nice meeting the "other halves" and we appreciate those of you who traveled from out of state and made special plans to get here.

I just realized we should have taken a group picture but it was going so well I don't think we wanted to interrupt. Roberta used her photography skills and snapped a bunch of pics so we will post those soon (thanks Berta!). We also want to send a special thank you to those who helped gather addresses. Our main goal was to contact everyone which was quite difficult so we appreciate that immensely. At this point, we are unsure how our budget turned out but any excess funds will be placed in a savings account to be used at the next reunion. Thank you to those who contributed! We missed fellow classmates who couldn't make it (or chose not to) but we understand and hope to see you at the next one. Yes, I did say next one.....a handful of people already mentioned something about future reunions which was great to hear!

Party Time!

Ok, so the weather people were WAY off! It has turned out to be a gorgeous day but I am definitely not complaining. It sounds like our classmates are looking forward to our little get together this evening. For some of us it will be a night without the kids, some have traveled by plane or drove a few hours to get here and others may be able to walk to Lemays. Either way it is great to see the enthusiasm! No matter what our class was 10 years ago it is refreshing that we can come together and celebrate the friendships and memories as well as possibly getting to know someone we maybe never talked to much in high school. Here's to us Class of 1998!

5 days until PARTY

Fall is here and this past weekend was absolutely gorgeous! It is a great time of year to spend with family and friends and why not some old classmates? The forecast for this Saturday looks to be cloudy and rainy so you have no excuse not to come to the 10 year reunion! Ok, maybe you do but we are trying to convince you that you don’t. J

The tour of the new school starts at 7pm followed by cocktails and appetizers at 8pm in the upstairs party room at Lemay’s. Thank you to those of you who RSVP’d/filled out the cards and emailed photos. If you haven’t done so, please email your info and photo to bahawker@hickorytech.net. We’ll be displaying them at the reunion for everyone to check out and we’ll post it here as well as pictures from the reunion. Anyway, hope you have a nice week. See you on the 11th!

It's not too late to RSVP!

It was suggested that a blog should be created for members of our class to see details of the reunion. Our plan is to post little updates until the day of the party and then upload pictures for everyone to see. We also plan to have a link that will list what everyone is up to along with a current photo but that means you need to send us your photos in order to put them up.
